Biography

An accomplished classically trained Baritone, Richard has sung at weddings throughout Ireland over the last number of years.

As well as performing at weddings Richard has sang with a number of well known groups such as; The Bunratty Castle Singers, The Limerick Songsters, and The Thomond Singers.  As well as singing as both a soloist and ensemble member with these groups Richard was a soloist with the Franciscan Church Choir and St. John’s Cathedral Choir, both in Limerick city.

In addition to my love of secular music I enjoy and have been involved in a number of theatre and opera groups.  Productions to date have been; Sweeney Todd (ensemble) & Into the Woods (Rapunzel’s Prince) both with BareSpace Theatre Company.  In addition to these musical theatre performances I have been involved in two youth operas with Summer Music on the Shannon, of which I played principal roles in both: A Dickens of a Christmas (Scrooge) & Peace (Hermes).  In February 2009 I played the role of ‘Beast’ in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” with Shannon Musical Society.

As can be seen from previous performances my love of music crosses many genres.  Similarly, my repertoire encompasses many genres, such as; classical, musical theatre, contemporary and Irish music.  Primarily based in the Limerick / Clare area, Richard is available to sing at weddings throughout Ireland.
